The Division of Health Care Finance and Policy (DHCFP) began sending letters on December 7th telling users of the Uncompensated Care Pool (UCP) about some recent changes.
Name change - effective December 1, 2007
- The Uncompensated Care Pool is now the Health Safety Net (HSN)
Pharmacy co-pays - postponed until March 2008
- Children, up to their 19th birthday, have no co-pays
- Adult HSN users will have co-pays at the pharmacy. $1 for generics and $3 for brand name drugs.

Medical visit co-pays - postponed until March 2008
- Children have no co-pays, regardless of service site
- Adults from 101.0% to 200.0% of the federal poverty level will have co-pays for services received at hospitals that accept HSN.
- Services at Community Health Centers have no HSN co-pays.
