MassMedline still provides free prescription assistance

MassMedline is a free resource for all Massachusetts residents who have questions about their prescription and/or non-prescription drugs, or are having trouble paying for medication. This service is open to people of all income levels, regardless of health insurance status, and is completely free of charge.

MassMedline provides:

  • Help determining eligibility for a variety of programs that help with medication costs;
  • Assistance in applying to public and private programs that provide free, low-cost or discounted medications;
  • Education and counseling about medications from trained case managers and licensed pharmacists; and
  • Answers, from licensed pharmacists, to medication questions - including drug interactions, side effects, and herbal medicine.

Patients can call MassMedline Toll-Free at (866) 633-1617. Interpreters are available, and all calls are confidential.
