MassHealth has updated their Provider Manual with explanations of the eligibility codes for NewMMIS. These are the codes for the new Eligibility Verification System (EVS) that has replaced REVS.
The new "Appendix Y: EVS Codes and Messages" (PDF) includes two useful charts:
- A list of the restrictive messages that EVS currently gives when providers check eligibility at the Provider Online Service Center (POSC). The chart lists the new system-generated EVS message numbers, alongside the message numbers you used to see in REVS and the text of the messages that go with them.
- A chart of "MassHealth Benefit Plans." This chart lists each type of coverage shown in EVS and its code, alongside what it used to be called in the REVS system.
