Some prescriptions may be more affordable

Recently, Target and Wal-Mart pharmacies began marketing a limited number of generic medications for $4 per prescription in Massachusetts and nationally. If a person's co-insurance or co-pay cost for a covered medication is less than $4, there will be no change; if the cost is more than $4, the prescription will cost the person only $4. For specific details, please contact your local store.

Hi Nicole,
It's possible you could be eligible to get your prescription through the pharmacy at a hospital or health center that participates in the Health Safety Net. You may also be eligible for other health care coverage. It depends on your specific circumstances. I would recommend that you call the Health Care For All Helpline at 1-800-272-4232 for help by phone, or find a place near you that could help you in-person by using this map: http://www.communitywalk.com/compartners. An outreach & enrollment worker, either on the map or at the Helpline, could tell you more about what you may be eligible for and also help you apply for it.
