MSP and Commonwealth Care

When someone's Medical Security Plan six-month coverage period ends, will they have to wait six months to become eligible for Commonwealth Care?

When a person's MSP enrollment ends, they are no longer enrolled in 'subsidized insurance' so that is no longer a condition for denial of Commonwealth Care. If a person has previously filled out an MBR and is 'known' to the system, they may call 877-MA-ENROLL to begin the Commonwealth Care enrollment process. If a person is not in the system, they must first apply using an MBR or the Virtual Gateway.
